The Heart of the Music
​The reason for Still Beating Music is deeply personal. A few years ago, I had a stent fitted that eventually led to a bypass, followed by further complications that resulted in a diagnosis of heart failure.
​In the face of these challenges, I found my healing through music. I realized I wanted to share my story and my songs while my heart is still beating—to show others that while it is okay not to be okay, we must also learn to take better care of ourselves.
​My goal is to create a space that supports both heart health and the mental health struggles that so often follow a diagnosis like this. Learning to love myself has been a journey; I’m not quite there yet, but I’m getting closer every day.
​Never underestimate the power of human connection. Whether it’s a hug, holding hands, or simply having someone to talk to who offers unconditional love without judgment, that organic touch can help dramatically.

Too much for someone by Mike Hunter

This song was written during one of the hardest chapters of my life, following my diagnosis of heart failure. I wanted to capture that feeling of being overwhelmed, yet finding the strength to keep going while my heart is still beating. I hope this helps anyone else who feels like they are carrying a heavy load right now.
